Dr. Eleni Marcantonis is a licensed clinical psychologist based in New York City, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for individuals, couples and families. She is the founder of Manhattan Cognitive Therapy Consultants. Her practice helps clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and major life transitions by combining evidence-based interventions with practical problem-solving strategies and stress-reduction techniques.


Dr. Marcantonis earned her Psy.D. from the Wright Institute, where she completed her doctoral dissertation on the prevalence of traumatic brain injury among survivors of domestic violence. She also holds an M.A. in Psychology from Harvard University and a B.A. from Pace University.


Her early clinical work included providing therapy and forensic assessments in inpatient maximum-security settings, giving her unique expertise in trauma, resilience, and human behavior under stress. Dr. Marcantonis has over 500 hours of court testimony experience and has assessed hundreds of sexually violent predators who committed some of most severe sexual
crimes.


Dr. Marcantonis is also the founder of Overeaters Solutions, a program dedicated to supporting individuals seeking healthier relationships with food and their bodies. She is passionate about empowering clients to create meaningful, lasting change and approach life with greater confidence and emotional balance. Dr. Marcantonis was a guest on the Dr. Oz show Her expertise was called upon to discuss a case in which a woman in an abusive relationship, was murdered by her husband following her 160 lb. weight loss. Dr. Marcantonis explained on the show how extreme weight loss can play a complicated role in marriages and relationships. Dr. Marcantonis also described the warning signs of an abusive spouse.


Dr. Marcantonis is an active participant in the Hellenic Professional Woman’s Organization and the Hellenic Medical Society. Dr. Marcantonis was recently featured in the The National Herald newspaper for her support of World Mental Health Day. Dr. Marcantonis has been featured on True Crime News Podcast as a forensic expert regarding adult film star, Devyn Michaels who decapitated her boyfriend after marrying his son. This disturbing love triangle recently played out in a Las Vegas courtroom.
